RT-RD Gravity Line Sampler

FEATURES

 

The Model RT-RD Retractable Tube and Auger Sampler extracts samples of powdered and granular products from pneumatic or gravity flow conveying lines or from storage hoppers. Its unique design provides unlimited volume of sample because the sample is being discharged while the tube is extended into the conveying line. Completely explosion-proof, the model RT-RD Sampler is all air operated and the sample contact points are 316 Stainless Steel, DelrinŽ and TeflonŽ.

 

ENGINEERING DATA

Power Requirements

35 to 60 psi compressed air for sampler operation. 110 V 50 Hz 1 phase current required for controls. Other voltages available.

Actuators

Double-acting air cylinder for sampling tube extension. Speed controlled air operated gear motor for auger drive

Sampling Tube

316 StSt. 1 1/2" O.D. with sampling slot as required. Tube extension from 4" to 6"
Auger 316 StSt., 1 3/8" O.D. x 1 1/2" pitch.

Sample Outlet

316 StSt., 1 1/2" O.D. plain end.
Seals, Bearings and Packing TeflonŽ, NylonŽ, DelrinŽ, or Urethane, as required.

Housing, Spool, Mounting Flange

Aluminum, stainless steel available.
Air Fittings 1/4" NPT
Mounting Flange Standard 150# 2" pipe flange drilling. Flat-faced 6" O.D. Furnished with gasket. For mounting on round surfaces, a round mounting adaptor is required and is available as an option.
Enlargement Transitions Optional and required when mounting the sampler in lines smaller than 4 inches.
Control Panel IP 65 Enclosure with MSC Controller.
Weight Sampler, approx. 20kg; Control Panel, approx. 10kg.
Pressurised Line Installation Requires a special sample receiving system available as an option.
