Function:

 

The SlideControl is installed at the top of the air slide where the probe is located just above the air slide fabric.

 

Two capacitive sensors are spaced at a defined distance apart and are used to correlate the velocity. Another capacitive sensor is used to measure the material height. With this information and knowing the air slide width, the volume can be calculated.

Installation:

 

The SlideControl is installed using a Jacobs pipe fitting. This simple means of fitting gives easy installation and inspection.

 

Uses:

The SlideControl has been designed for reliable flow measurement of powders transported in air slides. Until now it has not been possible to retrieve inline information on flow rates. The volumetric flow is determined by continuously measuring the filled height of the air slide and velocity of the material conveyed
